Caramel Cinnamon thought the worst day of her life was the day her
grandparents, the King and Queen of the Elves of Cardamom went missing.
She was wrong! The day she spills sticky toffee syrup onto her
father's computer, that's when her worst nightmare begins. She finds
herself marooned on a forbidden planet, sent there by an evil clone with
a very sticky secret. Caramel is desperate to escape. If she doesn't
she will lose her dreams of returning to Cardamom to become a healer
like her Mum. Luckily, she has a secret of her own and the lives of
her family and friends depend on it!
Nayuleska's thoughts
There is a richness to the story elements in this read. I loved the detail and way that the elves lived, how they treated people with medical issues, how they tended to their trees,how at one they are with nature. I definitely share Caramel's initial reactions to dizzying heights, but I don't share her awesome abilities which are only just being discovered. Even though she has powers, it is through teamwork that she and her friends succeed in their plans. They are up against an extremely dangerous enemy whco has no qualms about hurting people.
This is an 8/10 read because through most of the book there were issues with punctuation and occasionally grammar, as well as occasional plot parts that didn't quite make sense, both which detracted a little from this highly enjoyable and unique adventure.
