Summary from Templar

Meet a little boy called Oliver… and the troll who wants to eat him!

Every day, Oliver goes to the shops and every day the troll tries to eat him. But catching an oliver is very tricky – he's too fast, too sneaky and too plain clever! It is only when it looks like Troll has given up and Oliver celebrates winning that… CHOMP! He gets eaten! Unfortunately for Troll, olivers don't taste very nice. So he spits him out and discovers that Oliver is an excellent cake-baker – and ALL trolls LOVE cakes!

Nayuleska's thoughts
I truly did feel sorry for the troll after a few pages in because the Oliver is a super happy boy whose
actions and words taunt the troll. He's annoying! The way he skips about made me smile. I love the clever ways he hides from the troll. The end -including the author's note - is both hilarious and advice that I will take. I liked the green/blue hues used for the forest - the troll definitely fits in there. It's not a scary forest, like the story it's a gentle scary, if that makes sense. It might not be easy to tell but parts of the cover are cut out so you open the book you get a different setting with the Oliver still in the same place. I happen to know an Oliver who is going to love this story!
