Illustrator Charles Reasonor's charming version of the traditional
nursery rhyme Little Bo Peep. Word balloons add a touch of sweet humor
to the familiar tale of a girl and her lost sheep.

There are probably a lot of versions of the
Little Bo Peep nursery rhyme, but these version uses the original text...and a
hilarious cast! I liked how
the birds give Bo Peep a clue where the sheep are, and they seem to direct the
sheep back to her. I love how the sheep seem to be playing hide and seek rather
than being lost, which feels more of a negative event.
The pages are easy to
turn, and fun with the sheep down the side of the cover being the actual pages! The vibrant colours and cute design make this such a joy to read I'm
sure adults will like it on the 10th, 20th or maybe 50th reread! It goes to show rhymes (and stories) like this one are
timeless and can be illustrated according to the current style of the era it is
told in. Who knows, in the future the sheep may have got lost thanks to sat
nav!
