One
of the best things about reading the second book in a series is that
you already know most of the characters, making it easy to dive in
straight away knowing you'll enjoy it. Boy In A Tutu
is no exception. It is way more hilarious than book 1, Spies in Disguise: Boy In Tights (the link takes you to my review), which was
funny enough.
The lengths poor Joe has to go
through to keep up his disguise made both Sam and me laugh a lot. I
did feel extremely sorry for Joe, but that didn't stop me giggling
when he had to try and avoid getting changed into his ballet outfit
in front of either the designer or wardrobe person (I can't quite
recall which it was).
The two friends are certainly having experiences which
will improve their spying skills, although some of them are a bit
dangerous and had me holding my breath. Having spies as parents is a mixture of highly cool and disappointment because they try to keep Joe out of danger as much as they can, but danger finds Joe easy enough. I'm very eager for book 3!
