Book summary

Nayu's thoughts

This is 1st book in a mafia series which is superb, though intense romance scenes were dutifully skipped. I absolutely adored it! I loved learning about gang rivalry, why near total obedience and some ignorance is a good thing. There were constant shocking plot twists which made me glad I was able to read it in one sitting.

Callie experiences things no one should, and while what happens changes her life, making her at times a little desperate to keep the truh covered, overall she is extremely brave and eventually let others help her when she can't help herself. There's certainly something to be said for being rich, although money alone can't protect you when someone has a vendetta. I really want to read the next book, but it might be from a different point of view (or I've confused myself with another series...), so I'll wait and see. You must read it!
